Art Dump

Background Texture

Okay, I think I'm done with Anais.

That background was a pain. I did a couple layers of scribbling, messed it up, smeared a part of it by trying to lift colour with an eraser, cursed at my own stupidity, burnished the whole thing and started scribbling over top again.

It was great fun!

And now, onto something completely different.

Bride of the Bus People

A few people I've drawn on the bus since December.

This turned out to be a much neater sketch than I usually get to do. Also, I like people who perch their hats on the very tops of their heads:

I had to draw this man reflected in the window of the bus:

And my favourite of the lot:

Not so many inked pieces to show off lately... The beginning of term is always busy, though.

Hey thanks for checking the comic out. Yeah the drivers face is off a little, his character his physically different than all others, the odd shape can also be contributed to the fact that i drew the whole thing free hand on a tablet to save time rather than sketching it first, big mistake :/ anyway, thanks for the comment, drop a line anytime and i love your art!

I've seen your stuff on the drawingboard and I thought I'd check out your blog. Really fine sketches - I especially dig the last on of the girl on the bus. That nice loose line work in the hair is great.

Thank you all! :)

Nick - I'll keep dropping by, but you have to add some more comics sometime! ;)

Miqosis - Thanks a lot! I've never had a problem with looseness, it's the tight inks that defeat me every time. I checked out your blog -- you do pretty awesome work! I definitely remember that Lara pic, the perspective on that was just great.

Kamal - Thank you! The two girls are definitely my favourites. I'm looking forward to seeing some more of your inked pieces!
