I'm not sure about the chalk pastels. I think one of the pencils is all busted inside. However, the sketchbook should work just as well with pencil crayons.

Yeah, it was a nice find.
I think it would be fun to get some of the mi-tientes pastel paper and have a custom sketchbook made, actually. One that has a variety of paper colours.
